About Save room

Table of Contents

For many people, myself included, video games are far more than a pastime: they're a passion and a source of inspiration.

On Save room, I share my impressions after immersing myself in each game, exploring its world, mechanics, and personality. Here you'll find personal and direct reflections, written for a brief and enjoyable read.

My notebook

While I play, I like to keep a notebook nearby where I jot down notes and make small sketches to capture details that catch my attention and might otherwise be forgotten.

Sketches and notes from my personal gaming notebook.

You'll find some of those sketches and notes here, along with what I liked most (and least) about each game, plus extra tidbits depending on the title...

Virtual shelf

In this section, you'll find a showcase of the games I talk about. Every time I finish one, its box is added to this digital collection.

The special part: all the boxes are real scans from my personal collection. It isn't huge, but it has grown with me over the years and I still have plenty of games waiting to be played (and others I'm eager to revisit).

Virtual showcase featuring scanned physical videogame boxes.

Clicking on any game lets you see its box in 3D and explore it as if you were holding it in your hands: imperfections, edition details, and little quirks that only a physical copy carries. More than just a list, it's a way to preserve my collection.

It's not the same as having it on a real shelf, of course, but I hope it also feels like a curious and pleasant experience for anyone who stops by.

My experience with video games

I grew up alongside the evolution of video games, fortunate enough to witness its milestones and enjoy each technological leap as a true event.

I started at home with a glorious Commodore 64 my father brought one day ❤️. That's where I discovered the magic (and patience!) of loading games from cassettes and typing my first lines of code.

Later came a humble 386 PC, the Master System II, and the wonderful Game Boy. Those systems were with me for years, until I eventually made the jump to the PlayStation and the unforgettable moments continued.

I didn't have 16-bit consoles at home back then, but I enjoyed them at friends', cousins', and neighbors' houses. Every new game felt like a celebration, and even with a small library, we squeezed every game for all it had.

Today, I still enjoy this medium with the same enthusiasm, whether I'm replaying classics or discovering modern gems.
